During the 2010s, the “Grit and Grind” Grizzlies became one of the most respected and beloved teams in the NBA, known for their defensive toughness, unbreakable chemistry, and deep connection with the Memphis community. The new facility will not only serve as a hub for basketball but will also house training academies, youth outreach programs, and a Grizzlies Alumni Hall of Fame.

Mike Conley, the franchise’s all-time leader in assists and points, emphasized the deeper meaning behind the donation. “This city gave us everything — love, loyalty, and identity. This is us giving that back, tenfold. We want to build more than an arena. We want to build opportunity.”

It is expected to host not only Grizzlies games and concerts, but also NCAA tournaments, community events, and international sports showcases.
