Harrison Butker meets with President Trump
One Kansas City Chiefs player has already had the opportunity to travel to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to celebrate the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victory, while it is still unclear if they will be going to the White House. On Thursday, Harrison Butker had the opportunity to meet with President Donald Trump at the White House.
Fox News claims that the Chiefs kicker “stopped by” the White House, giving the impression that the visit wasn’t precisely scheduled. Because White House Communications Advisor Margo Martin shared a picture of the meeting on social media, we know that Butker had the opportunity to meet with Trump in the Oval Office during his trip.
Butker also posed for a few pictures when he visited the White House press briefing room.
The Chiefs kicker was a fervent Trump fan before the election in November.
Butker stated in October, as reported by Fox News, “I’m supporting the president that’s going to be the most pro-life president, and I think Donald Trump is the most pro-life president.” “For me, the subject is the most important one. It is my belief that we should prioritize fighting for the most vulnerable, including the unborn.
Butker’s contentious commencement address at Benedictine College in May 2024 garnered media attention. Butker has been to the White House for the third year in a row. He had the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., in 2023 and 2024 to commemorate the Chiefs’ victories in Super Bowls LVII and LVIII. Even though the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl this time, Butker still made the decision to travel.
The Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 40–22, missing their chance to become the first club in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls. The Eagles, who did win the Super Bowl, are anticipated to visit the White House after receiving an invitation. Trump has stated that they will receive one, but as of Thursday, no invitation had been delivered. Read more about the Eagles here.
