The Brooklyn Nets announced that Ben Simmons will remain sidelined until at least January due to a pinched nerve in his lower back, with his status being reassessed in about two weeks.
Despite consistent improvement in his back strength over the past two weeks, Simmons is still limited to individual court work.
He played only six games before the injury and has missed a total of 20 games this season due to back issues.
Simmons received an epidural injection as part of his rehabilitation. Additionally, Dennis Smith Jr. has been cleared for full basketball activities after missing six games with a sprained upper back, and Lonnie Walker IV is expected to return to 5-on-5 play soon with hopes of rejoining the lineup next week after being out for eight games with a strained left hamstring.
