Frimpong is said to be wanted by Manchester united and Arsenal after impressive performances for Bundesliga side Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso’s side are aware of growing interest in the Dutchman ahead of a possible move at the end of the 2023/24 season. The Dutchman is expected to arrive for around £35million later this year. Former Celtic and Manchester City star Frimpong, who is under contract in Germany until June 2028, has only played on the right flank of the 3-4-3 formation in the 2023-24 season.
So far this season, he has scored seven goals and provided 10 assists in 22 appearances in all competitions.The right-footed player joined Leverkusen in January 2021 and has scored 18 goals and provided 30 assists in 117 appearances for the club.
