Steven Gerrard is now set to sign two current Liverpool players in a bid to help Jordan Henderson stay

Steven Gerrard is targeting two Liverpool players in a bid to convince Jordan Henderson to stay at Al Eti Park. Henderson has been in the news recently for trying to end his stay in Saudi Arabia. With a return to Liverpool unlikely, Ajax have become the latest team to be linked with the 33-year-old. However, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, Al Ettifaq have not yet given up on Henderson.

Jacobs wrote in yesterday’s daily briefing that Gerrard was discussing potential 2024 targets with his club. The former Liverpool captain’s happiness is on the agenda. “ET Parks are exploring a number of ambitious options to strengthen Gerrard’s squad in January and this summer,” said the reporter. “Al-Ettifaq’s two targets in this window are Fenerbahce’s Ryan Kent and Al-Hilal’s Abdulella Al-Malki.

Steven Gerrard attended a three-hour transfer meeting on Monday where Liverpool’s Joel Matip and Villa’s Joe Gomez and Bertrand Traore were discussed for the summer of 2024.”Some of these names may be presented to Henderson to convince us of future plans and projects.”Last year, such rumors seemed realistic, but now they seem ridiculous.

Many players have seen players like Henderson spend their time in the Saudi Arabian Professional League. The question is, why would they want to be a part of it after seeing it unfold in the most depressing way possible? Especially for Gomez, such a move would make absolutely no sense. We don’t know what Gerrard said for three hours. Because it can be summed up like this: He is not for sale.
Towards the end of last summer’s transfer window, there were mild rumors that Gomez could be a target. The sale made sense for Liverpool at the time.

But as the season progressed, the 26-year-old really came into his own. With injuries to Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas, Joe’s importance will be greater than ever. It is not yet possible to arrange a sale for Liverpool. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp recently spoke about how happy Gomez is at Anfield. It is unthinkable that he would give up his position as a lieutenant in Saudi Arabia. Of course, Matip is a bit bigger.

The 32-year-old is set to leave at the end of the season, so Liverpool cannot say where he will go. After suffering a devastating injury, Matip could feel the lure of a move to the Saudi Arabian league. To assure Henderson, this is unlikely to be a successful addition for Al Ettifaq. Matip is a veteran who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury that Gomez will never experience, I feel like I’m falling.
