Paul Merson has changed his mind about the outcome of Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League clash with Arsenal. He initially thought Arsenal would win, but after watching Liverpool beat Chelsea 4-1, he now predicts a 2-2 draw.
In a column for Sportskeeda, Merson said: “This is another must-win game for Arsenal. If we lose we will be out of the Premier League title race and a draw is not good so we have to aim for the title. “that.”“Before Liverpool beat Chelsea I was optimistic about this game and thought Arsenal would win. My opinion has changed now because the Reds were fantastic last night. Chelsea weren’t good but Liverpool blew them out of the water and could have scored more if Darwin Nunes hadn’t scored 4 goals!””The draw is not ideal for Arsenal, but if Liverpool win at home I don’t think they will be sleeping much.
“The last time Liverpool met at Anfield last December was a 1-1 draw. But that all changed in the third round of the FA Cup, held at the Emirates Stadium last month. Liverpool beat Arteta’s side 2-0 with goals from Jakub Kivior (own goal) and Luis Diaz. Arsenal won the match 3-2 last season. Liverpool are on a roll this season and Klopp will be hoping to end their incredible trip to Anfield on a high note.
