BREAKING NEWS: 2 Browns named to list of most improved and worst players in second half of 2024 season.

The Cleveland Browns have had their fair share of ups and downs throughout the 2024 season. While some players have stepped up their game, others have struggled to make an impact. Recently, two Browns players were named to the list of most improved players in the second half of the 2024 season, while two others were listed among the worst performers.

On the positive side, running back Jerome Ford and center Ethan Pocic have been recognized for their significant improvement in the second half of the season. Ford, who has been a key contributor to the Browns’ offense, averaged 5.7 yards per attempt and forced eight more missed tackles from Week 10 onwards. His impressive performance earned him a 74.2 grade, ranking 15th in the NFL.

Pocic, on the other hand, started off the 2024 season poorly but managed to turn things around in the second half. From Week 10 onwards, he earned a 68.8 pass-blocking grade and allowed just a 2.6% pressure rate, which was seventh-lowest among centers. His improvement has been a significant boost to the Browns’ offense, providing quarterback Deshaun Watson with better protection and allowing him to make more plays downfield.

Unfortunately, not all Browns players have been performing at the same level. Two players who have struggled in the second half of the season are cornerback Greg Newsome II and defensive end Chase Winovich. Newsome II, who was expected to be a key contributor to the Browns’ secondary, has struggled to make an impact, earning a grade of just 42.1 from Week 10 onwards. He has been beaten by opposing receivers on several occasions, leading to big plays for the opposing team.

Winovich, on the other hand, has struggled to generate pressure on opposing quarterbacks. From Week 10 onwards, he has earned a grade of just 38.5 as a pass-rusher, which is one of the lowest in the NFL. His lack of production has been a significant concern for the Browns, who need more from their defensive line if they hope to make a playoff push.

Despite the struggles of some players, the Browns remain optimistic about their chances of making a playoff run. With Ford and Pocic performing at a high level, the team has a solid foundation to build upon. However, they will need to see improvement from players like Newsome II and Winovich if they hope to make a deep playoff run.

As the Browns look to the future, they will need to make some tough decisions about which players to keep and which to let go. While Ford and Pocic have earned their place on the team, Newsome II and Winovich will need to show significant improvement if they hope to remain part of the Browns’ plans.

In conclusion, the Browns have had their fair share of ups and downs throughout the 2024 season. While players like Ford and Pocic have stepped up their game, others like Newsome II and Winovich have struggled to make an impact. As the team looks to the future, they will need to make some tough decisions about which players to keep and which to let go.
