The Shrine Bowl and Senior Bowl recently started competing for attention in the college football, NFL draft circuit. A few years ago, the Senior Bowl was THE event while the Shrine Bowl received the rest of the prospects or those who wanted a chance to showcase themselves more.

Now, some top prospects like QB Shedeur Sanders are choosing the Shrine while others have tried to do both the last couple of years. That change, and the importance of this offseason, has led Cleveland Browns HC Kevin Stefanski to attend both events for the first time.

Both Bowls not only provide an opportunity for players to showcase themselves but coaches, scouts and front-office executives are also laying the ground work for the future in many ways.

Based on some rumors I am hearing out of both the Senior and Shrine Bowl, I bring you a quick 3-round Browns mock draft:

New York wants Sanders and needs to make sure the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets, among other teams, do not jump them for their quarterback.

Cleveland selects DE Abdul Carter, Penn State

What would be really interesting, both for the Giants and Browns, is if Carter is off the board with the first pick. Would Cleveland select Cam Ward? Doesn’t seem like it but possible. Would New York still want to make sure they got their guy and make the small move up?

Adding Carter to DE Myles Garrett could change the Browns fate quickly.

2nd Round

QB Jalen Milroe, Alabama

From what I understand, Cleveland would likely move up into the first round to make sure they got Milroe. Moving the extra third they acquired in 2026, or even their own 2nd rounder, is a possibility to make sure they get their QB to develop.

3rd Round

OT Aireontae Ersery, Minnesota

We profiled Ersery earlier and love to see him fall here so that Cleveland has future options if Dawand Jones fails or Jack Conklin continues to deal with injuries

TE Gunnar Helm, Texas

The return to more zone-scheme will also require another starting-level tight end and Helm can provide help as a receiver and a blocker.

RB RJ Harvey, UCF

A steady contributor in college, Harvey can step into a big role pretty quickly for the Browns. was used for today’s 3-round mock draft. With this mock, not only did Cleveland give a veteran starting QB help right away but got their QB of the future, a stud edge rusher and an extra Day 2 pick next year.

Based on what rumors are telling us right now, this would be the Browns draft if they had it their way.
