“Blessed to be here. What an honor,” Maye said in an interview with SiriusXMNFL, via ESPN’s Mike Reiss. “Here with so many great players. I think the biggest thing is — what a long year. You come right off the college football season, you’re going right into draft prep and then you’re getting ready for the draft in front of all these teams, and then you get drafted and have to go to rookie minicamp.

“It’s a long season but a fortunate season — playing quarterback in this league, a special league, here with all these special guys. It’s an awesome experience.”

Maye has the talent to be a special player in the NFL for years to come. Multiple NFL coaches have sung his praises throughout the season, including Sean McVay, Mike McDaniel and Sean McDermott.

The Patriots are on track in their continued efforts to rebuild the team. They hired Mike Vrabel as the new head coach and lead visionary on the journey. The combination of Maye and Vrabel could be the building blocks for an eventual return to prominence for the once-great organization.
