3-round 2025 NFL mock draft creates a wide receiver talent trio and bolsters defense for the New Orleans Saints

The 2025 NFL Draft is less than two months away, so those mock draft machines are running on all cylinders. You love to see it. For the New Orleans Saints, it is an important class to kick off the Kellen Moore era.

The latest 3-round collaborative mock draft at A to Z Sports gives the Saints quite a haul on day one and two.

Saints’ picks in latest 3-round mock draft

9. New Orleans Saints: Shemar Stewart, EDGE Texas A&M

Shemar Stewart tested like the 99th percentile athlete we thought he was at the NFL Combine. Saints need to get younger on the edge and they swing for the fences with elite athletic upside, despite an imperfect pass rush rate stats profile from Stewart.

Stewart’s selection doesn’t surprise me here.

He’s a physical freak, and the Saints’ front office has fallen in love with those sort of projections in prospects over the past handful of years. Stewart is widely expected to be a top fifteen selection in this year’s class after his Combine dominance.

CB Will Johnson and TE Tyler Warren are two other names on the board that I think New Orleans will have interest in, too.

40. New Orleans Saints: Tre Harris, WR Ole Miss

The Saints need size on the outside and someone to develop in case Chris Olave doesn’t ever get back to normal due to his concussion history. Harris has been successful on the outside and is a traditional X receiver. –

Wearing the Ole Miss uniform, he’s drawn some A.J. Brown comparisons. That’s quite lofty, but he’d definitely have a year one impact in New Orleans and fill a role that they need to fill this offseason on offense.

71. New Orleans Saints: Jamaree Caldwell, DT Oregon

The Saints need help on the interior of the defensive line, and Oregon’s Jamaree Caldwell, who looked good in field drills at 332 lbs, is there waiting for them. Caldwell is a true nose tackle, able to absorb double teams and shed to find the ball carrier.

Love this fit for Brandon Staley’s defense. Caldwell is a massive DL piece who clogs the run game very consistently. The run defense for the Saints has diminished in recent years, but this pick would help them get back on track.

93. New Orleans Saints (via WAS): Jabbar Muhammad, CB Oregon

The Saints need to shore up the corner position after trading away Marshon Lattimore to the Commanders. They use the pick they received from Washington to do exactly that.

Muhammad had some struggles in his final year for the Ducks, but adding to the secondary is a must for the Saints. The secondary has some notable holes.

At minimum, he Muhammad would slot in as depth for the slot CB spot behind Alontae Taylor. If Taylor plays outside in 2025, the rookie would have a chance to play a lot of defensive snaps on the inside.
