BOMBSHELL IN THE AFC NORTH! Kenny Pickett’s SHOCKING Return to the Division Sends Steelers Fans into a FRENZY – But There’s a TWIST: He’s Now Suited Up for a RIVAL Team!

Former Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick and quarterback, Kenny Pickett, will be playing for his third different team in as many seasons, according to reports.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, not only is Pickett being traded by the Philadelphia Eagles, he is returning to the AFC North with the Cleveland Browns, who are sending the Eagles Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a 2024 fifth-round pick. Who knew Pickett could fetch even that much.”Trade! The Browns are acquiring QB Kenny Pickett from the Eagles in exchange for Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a 2024 5th round pick (originally from the #Lions), sources say,” Rapoport reported.

Taken with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Pickett showed some promise early in his career before ultimately flaming out.

In 2024, Pittsburgh traded Pickett to the Eagles, where he served as the backup to Jalen Hurts. Pickett saw action in five games and completed 59.5% of his passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns to one pick. He made one start, a game the Eagles won.

Cleveland’s quarterback situation is a mess. Deshaun Watson is recovering from a torn Achilles and suffered a setback in the process, which leaves his status for the entire 2025 campaign in doubt.

That leaves the door open for Pickett to start initially, but the Browns also hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, where they could take a quarterback, so Pickett isn’t locked in yet.Of course, the Steelers play the Browns twice every season, so it’s possible Pittsburgh will get a crack at its former quarterback if he starts.
