The recruiting trail has heated up in recent weeks with several major college football programs working feverishly to fill up their Class of 2026 rosters.
The Michigan Wolverines are among them as coach Sherrone Moore’s program has secured commitments from five prospects in the early going.The Wolverines are a bit behind the 8-ball in terms of sheer numbers compared to rival programs like Ohio State, but are working to close the gap.
On Saturday, a four-star safety prospect from the Houston, Texas area’s list of three favorite schools was announced, and Michigan is among them along with a pair of SEC powers.”Four-Star Safety Chace Calicut is down to 3 Schools,” On3.’s Hayes Fawcett wrote on X.
“The 6’3 195 S from Houston, TX has locked in OVs (official visits) to each of his finalists, Georgia (June 6-8), Michigan (June 13-15), Texas (June 20-22).

Michigan currently has just one secondary recruit for the 2026 class, Brody Jennings of Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida, a three-star prospect according to 247Sports.com.
