In a surprise move, it’s been announced that “King Kenny,” a documentary about Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish, will be released on Prime Video, not Netflix as previously rumored.
Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Asif Kapadia, “King Kenny” promises to offer an intimate portrayal of Dalglish’s life and career, both on and off the pitch. With exclusive interviews from Dalglish himself, as well as former teammates, football legends, and family members, this documentary is set to be a must-watch for football fans and sports enthusiasts alike.
Dalglish, a Scottish football legend, played for Celtic and Liverpool, and later managed Liverpool, leading the team to numerous victories, including a historic league and FA Cup double in 1986. He was knighted in 2018 for his services to football and charity.
“King Kenny” is expected to premiere on Prime Video later this year, although an exact release date has not been announced.
