“F**k him” – Mark Cuban gives surprising reaction revealing his current feelings for Luka Doncic

 

Mark Cuban opens up about his relationship with Luka Doncic after the trade to the Los Angeles Lakers. The 26-year-old point guard was traded to the Lakers during the 2024-2025 season. He spent seven years with the Dallas Mavericks. During his time with the Mavericks, the former majority owner, Mark, was a big fan of the player. However, things have changed now. Mark is no longer a big fan of the point guard. While opening up about his feelings, he also made his emotions clear about the Lakers team.

In a recent appearance at Gil’s Arena Show, Mark Cuban made some unfiltered statements about Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers. Mark was the former majority owner of the Dallas Mavericks before selling his shares to the Adelson and Dumont families in 2023. The roster changes under the new ownership have garnered significant criticism from the fans. Amidst all these, Mark reflects on how these changes have also affected the dynamics with the players who got traded.

When asked about his relationship with Luka, Mark stated, “We still DM and most of the time he will respond to me. And I will still give him sh*t about stuff.” Mark explained how he was friends with Luka’s dad, and he would go to watch him play. He further stated, “I would not say we are close, but we still communicate as much as we ever did…I love Luka to death. I love his team. I have nothing bad but only great things to say about Luka.”

Mark faced another two-part question in the podcast. He was asked if he was a die-hard fan of Luka during the latter’s time with the Mavericks. To this, Mark replied, “Yeah, of course.” The second part of the question was whether he is still a die-hard fan of Luka. To this, Mark replied, “Of course not.” Mark’s change in emotion was mainly due to the team, in particular, to whom Luka got traded.

Mark stated, “Off the court, I love Luka to death. On the court, f**k him. I don’t want him to get hurt or anything.”

Mark Cuban’s recent appearance made his hatred clear for the Los Angeles Lakers. While explaining his current state of fandom towards Luka, Mark made it clear that he absolutely hated the Lakers’ team.

“They have the same color as my high school. I threw my high school gear away.” Mark stated. He would not even watch the Lakers’ game just for Luka. When asked if he would get excited if Luka made a score, his straight answer was no. He continued, “I am hoping they [Lakers] go 0 and 82…Luka is a good guy, but f**k the Lakers.”

Mark, in this interview, made his stance clear towards both Luka and the Los Angeles Lakers.
