Mo Salah, Alexander Arnold, Szoboszlai injury news and expected return date as Klopp sweat on Absentee

On January 1, Newcastle’s victory won the two cups between Arsenal and Fulham before the winter holidays. And the break comes at an opportune time for Jurgen Klopp’s side, with Liverpool missing a number of star names. Bournemouth lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League but the Cherries knocked out Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup last time out.

However, they will have nine players missing on Sunday for various reasons and Mirror Football has gathered the latest squad news ahead of the trip to Bournemouth.

Mohamed salah
Salah is currently sidelined for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations and could miss more matches if they reach the final on February 11. The striker has also struggled with injuries, with Egypt missing Thursday’s 2-2 draw with Ghana with a groin problem. However, Klopp said: “It is not clear how serious the injury is. We have no idea”. I spoke with him last night and the condition of his injury requires further evaluation. That’s what they’re doing now, and we’ll find out more later.

Of course he was shocked at the time. “Oh my God, what is this?””It was like he was hit by something with high intensity, he couldn’t see and then he went down, and on the contrary, it was a muscle injury, but he still felt it and we know how rare that is. Mo is leaving or should be leaving so there must be something there. We’ll take a look. “But I have no other information at this time.

“Trent Alexander-Arnold
The defender was ruled out of Liverpool’s FA Cup win over Arsenal earlier this month with a knee injury, but Klopp insists he is “close” to a return. But he confirmed Alexander-Arnold will not be back in time for Sunday’s trip to Bournemouth.Trent Alexander-Arnold is currently out with a knee injury.

Andrew Robertson
Klopp also confirmed that Robertson is close to returning after being sidelined with a shoulder injury while playing for Scotland in October. However, like Alexander-Arnold, Robertson will not be selected for Bournemouth.

Dominic Szoboszlai
The midfielder is also “almost” likely to return from a groin injury and reports suggest he could feature against Bournemouth if he returns to training, but Klopp has admitted such a return is not possible.

Wataru Endo
The Japan international is currently sidelined for the Asian Cup and, depending on the state of his squad, could miss several key matches if they reach the final on February 10.

Thiago Alcantara
