Mikel Arteta in agreement with Jurgen klopp after bombshell Liverpool exit

Mikel Arteta believes he is unlikely to take charge of another Premier League side after denying reports he plans to leave Arsenal at the end of the season.The 41-year-old Spaniard has spent more than five years on the Emirates hot seat but was forced to cut ties with Barcelona during Arsenal’s press conference ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest.

Speculation over Arteta’s future comes just days after Jurgen Klopp announced he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season. He has since stated that he does not want to manage another English club. That was Arteta’s reaction when presented with the script on Monday morning. Mikel Arteta has remained silent on his comments about wanting to leave Arsenal and go to Barcelona.

Arteta: “Not today, I don’t know. I played for two great clubs in this country. “I’m too young to know what’s going to happen,” he said. Arteta then paid tribute to Klopp, who turned Liverpool’s fortunes around during eight-and-a-half years in the Premier League and now leads Liverpool ahead of the Gunners and Manchester City in the title race.

He added of Klopp: “I think he’s made this tournament a lot better. First, the people. I think his personality and charisma contributed a lot to this competition. I like what he does. When you look at the human side, the challenges and everything about the club. “We should be grateful because it made this race that much better.”Join the discussion!
