Liverpool fans urged to avoid Xabi Alonso scam by Thai police which asks supporters to pay for his flights to Anfield – as Bayer Leverkusen boss is favourite to replace Jurgen Klopp

Thai police have called on Liverpool fans to prevent fraudulent activities linked to Jurgen Klopp’s successor, Xabi Alonso. Life has become difficult for Manchester United fans in recent weeks after discovering that manager Klopp will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

He won the Premier League and the Champions League during his time at Anfield, so it will be very difficult to replace him. Bayer Leverkusen manager Alonso, who currently plays for Liverpool, might seem like a perfect choice, but according to Sport Bible, a dangerous online scam has emerged using his name.

Thai police have warned of a plan by fraudsters to use Alonso’s official Instagram account to ask him to pay for a flight to Anfield. Many Liverpool fans are willing to pay for the 42-year-old Bundesliga coach’s flights, but police are warning them against it.

The region’s Central Bureau of Investigation warned Facebook fans that they may take the case seriously. The statement read: “Liverpool fans, please relax. Xavi is not yet a manager, but they are already talking about scammers.

‘Following Klopp’s surprise decision, there has been a lot of talk about what will become of Liverpool’s ‘Fab Four’. Virgil van Dijk has not informed the club of his future with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s contract expiring in 2025. Meanwhile, interest in Mohamed Salah and Alisson in the Saudi Pro League is also growing.
