Mo Salah hands Liverpool major injury boost with the star pictured back on the grass… as he steps up his recovery after his AFCON hopes were dashed

Mohamed Salah has given Liverpool a major boost after being pictured on the pitch as he continues his injury recovery.

Salah suffered the injury in the first half of Egypt’s 2-2 draw with Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations on 18 January. The Egyptian Football Association said the injury was due to a strained back muscle and he was expected to be sidelined for four weeks with the injury.

Salah returned to England to continue his rehabilitation and had to watch from afar as Egypt lost on penalties to the Democratic Republic of Congo in the round of 16. The 31-year-old’s focus is not on helping Liverpool win four trophies this season, including the Premier League in Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge.

Salah posted a photo of himself on social media and revealed that he is recovering. Liverpool shared the image with the caption: “Recovery in progress. “Klopp has warned Liverpool will be cautious about bringing Salah back into the squad after his injury.

Salah will miss the Reds’ crunch Premier League clash with Chelsea at Anfield on Wednesday night. Liverpool also face a crucial clash with title rivals Arsenal ahead of games against Burnley and Brentford in February.

The match against Brentford is scheduled to take place on February 17, almost a month after Salah suffered the injury at the AFCON. Salah is Liverpool’s top scorer with 18 goals and 8 assists across all competitions this season.

His 14 Premier League goals put him joint top of the Premier League scoring charts with Manchester City star Erling Haaland. Salah initially hoped to recover in time to play in Egypt in the second half of the AFCON, but the Pharaohs crashed out in the last 16.

After returning to England for treatment, he was forced to respond to critics who questioned his commitment to Egypt. “I love Egypt and its people,” Salah said.

Salah’s agent, Rami Abbas Issa, also took to social media platforms to attack those who questioned his client’s loyalty to Egypt’s national team. “People who go weak at the knees when they meet Mohammed in person and ask him for ‘followers’ or selfies and ‘influencers’ try to take advantage of the unfortunate injury and question Mohammed’s loyalty to his country.

Most importantly, don’t worry because most of you who support Mohamed are too big a global icon to shut down on social media. “Influence” does not change what cannot develop and breathe or foam. Yes
