Liverpool send emotional message to Conor Bradley after his dad dies at 58

Conor Bradley is mourning the death of his father on Saturday, with the sad news coming ahead of Liverpool’s trip to compatriots Arsenal. Liverpool have expressed their emotional support for Conor Bradley following the death of his father on Saturday. Joe Bradley died at the age of 58 after a long illness. His son’s death comes just days after he produced a man-of-the-match performance to lead Manchester United to a resounding victory over Chelsea.

Defender Bradley provided two assists and scored his first Premier League goal in a 4-1 win. The Northern Irishman was expected to play against Arsenal on Sunday. But the day before the game, Bradley receives some sad news about his father. The Reds have sent a message of support to Bradley as he prepares to leave for the Gunners, knowing victory will move him eight points clear of Mikel Arteta. “A Connor Bradley. Liverpool FC are deeply saddened by the passing of Connor’s father Joe today. “The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Conor and his family,” the club wrote on social media alongside a photo of Bradley.

Liverpool FC said in a statement: “We are deeply saddened by the death of Conor Bradley’s father Joe today.” Everyone at the club is thinking of Connor and the entire Bradley family at this very difficult and sad time. On behalf of Conor, LFC insists that complete family confidentiality is maintained at this time. The news came as a shock to Bradley, who had a dream week after the Chelsea game.

Manager Jurgen Klopp also appeared unimpressed and was full of praise. “I loved him from day one. I didn’t need any convincing. The thing is, Connor was very good in pre-season and he was very good at Bolton (on loan),” Klopp said after the game. It was great to come back and pre-season. Wow, there are problems that only young people have in five months (or) four months but I’m glad that time can help us. It will be our time. it will improve but it is better for this age group. It’s been a real pleasure to watch him since he came back. ”Bradley was on cloud nine when he scored his first goal for Liverpool.” 

The 20-year-old fulfilled his ‘dream’ moment after scoring his side’s second goal in a dominant win. “Obviously this is a very proud moment. This is something I’ve dreamed of for a long time. It’s like I’m in a dream. I can not believe. I’m so happy!” Bradley told TNT Sports.” I couldn’t believe it was there. I just thought, ‘I’m going to hit it here’ and it went into the bottom corner. Not knowing what to do, I went to the corner and did a knee slide. “Was awesome!”
