FSG £100m move can give Liverpool greater chance of successful Jurgen Klopp exit

Liverpool are expected to welcome a record crowd to their match against Burnley on Saturday as the Jurgen Klopp era comes to an end.

Jurgen Klopp, whose Liverpool career has been marred by atrocious records, will have another manager this weekend. And if the surprise unveiling of the new stand at Anfield Road means anything more than that, the Reds will have to make the most of it ahead of their manager’s emotional farewell in May.

Around 60,000 people are expected to attend Saturday’s Premier League trip to Burnley, with hospitality space available at the top of the Anfield Road stand for the first time. There is still work to be done on the back row and outside to increase the capacity to 61,000, but this is another milestone in the £100m development.

The attendance of 58,757 at Chelsea’s top flight in December 1949 still holds the current record, the largest crowd ever seen at Anfield for a league match. The highest attendance in any competition was when 61,905 attended the FA Cup fifth round tie against Wolves in February 1952, a figure which is likely to remain for the foreseeable future.

Since the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand was officially opened in 1992, the stadium has been renovated and rebuilt several times, with the permanent Kop installed two years later and the main stand in 2016. For example, when the Premier League started more than 30 years ago, Anfield could hold less than 40,000 players.

The stadium, owned by Fenway Sports Group, has undergone significant changes during the Klopp era, including the addition of over 15,000 seats. He combined Liverpool’s magnificent series, which only saw Liverpool Liverpool in October 2022, and combined in seven years.

The delay of the new Anfield Road stand seems to have been published during Manchester United, when it was planned to start in early June. It was noise while drawing a problem.

However, the following are common in a comprehensive atmosphere in the Norwich League Cup in the match between West Ham and Fulham.

Liverpool requires additional assistance if you want to fight with four wires. Anfield will be decisive. From Burnley. The Reds still have eight home games in the Premier League, including two crucial games away to Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. In fact, they need to win most if not all of them to have any chance of crowning City as champions.

European action then resumes with an FA Cup fifth round tie against Championship side Southampton later this month and a Europa League round next month. Now that Klopp has announced he will step down as Reds manager at the end of the season, there will be an emotional focus on the upcoming home games and fans will know they have 13 more chances to see the German’s days. This will be lucky for some.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will need to take advantage of the extra support at Anfield to take advantage of Klopp’s minutes.
