Jürgen Klopp has already given Liverpool his word but Barcelona truth should be clear

Jurgen Klopp explained that his next step will be after leaving Liverpool. But a connection with Barcelona was created last week. “I don’t have the energy anymore,” said Jurgen Klopp, explaining his decision to step down as Liverpool manager at the end of the season.

The news has just reached many people associated with Anfield. “Obviously it’s no problem now. We’ve known for a while that we’ll have to announce it at some point, but for now it’s absolutely fine,” he told Liverpool’s official website. “I know I can’t do this over and over again.”

As the search for a successor begins in earnest, Xabi Alonso could become a front-runner despite his clear intentions, and speculation about where Klopp will go next is inevitable. In fact, it has already started. Reporting via Twitch, journalist Gerard Moreno suggested the German could be tempted by a move to Barcelona, with Xavi also tipped to quit in the summer.

Former Liverpool defender Stefan Henchos is among those who believe Klopp will move to Bayern Munich next season after pressure from Thomas Tuchel. But the truth is clear. Klopp will take a break. The only reason he cut his time at Liverpool by two years (his contract expires in 2026) was because he was tired. He needs rest and he has made it clear several times.

“I won’t manage a club or a country for at least another year. “It’s impossible,” Klopp said of his intention to transfer. “I can’t do it and I don’t want to. “It seems too simple, but at the same time it is understandable why some at Barcelona are pressuring Klopp to move to Camp Nou.

Xavi decided to leave shortly after Klopp’s announcement and there is no better replacement than the German. Even if you put two and two together in the summer, that doesn’t happen. But what about the future? He has promised Liverpool he will not immediately take on another role, but Klopp is unlikely to want to return to management anytime soon.

He has not ruled out retirement but there is no doubt he would be attractive to the Barcelona manager, although a spell with the German national team is more likely. The Catalan side may be in turmoil, but they remain an iconic football institution.

They also have some very talented young players like Pedri, Gavi and Lamine Yamal who remain competitive enough in Spain. Is it so ridiculous that Klopp is ready to return after a year’s absence, even if it lasts two or three years? He has never been far from the intensity of life outside of football and it will be a change to get used to. The fact that he himself has not asked for retirement suggests that retirement is also on the cards.

If he does return, it would make sense for him to move to Spain, even if Barcelona need a replacement for Xavi. He was in Germany and England and managed to complete a good collection. No training is as cold and windy as Kirkby. In some ways, playing for the German national team would be more attractive to Klopp, but it cannot be ruled out.

A move away from Barcelona this summer has been ruled out, but it doesn’t take long to imagine he could become attractive again in the future.

If Klopp does indeed return to management, it would undoubtedly be a huge deal for such a famous name.
