Liverpool have been handed two fresh injury concerns following Thursday night’s 5-1 win over Sparta Prague.
Jurgen Klopp was handed fresh issues when Konate pulled up during an attack from the Czech giants. His problem came just minutes after their Europa League opponents pulled a goal back immediately after the break.
Joe Gomez was brought off during the interval with the Reds enjoying a three-goal lead but it remains to be seen whether the move was tactical or another injury concern to their already-extended list.
In Prague, there were valuable minutes for Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai who are continuing their comebacks from injury. It was a second involvement for the Hungarian after his cameo against Nottingham Forest, while Salah marked his first outing in four matches after aggravating his muscle injury in the 4-1 win over Brentford.
Konate’s suspected injury is another setback for the Frenchman after enjoying an extended run in the XI. With a possible problem for Gomez, Jarell Quansah could be in line for his ninth Premier League appearance.
Ibrahima Konate pulled up after tracking back to defend a Sparta Prague attack on Thursday. The innocuous incident for the Frenchman is a worrying sign for Jurgen Klopp and his defensive options.
Speaking after the match, the Liverpool boss said: “Ibou said to me ‘if I do another sprint, it could be set’. Should be fine but we don’t know. So let’s see with Ibou.”
Joe Gomez
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp allayed fears over a possible Joe Gomez injury, following his substitution during the break of Thursday’s 5-1 win over Sparta Prague.
Concerns were raised after Conor Bradley replaced the England international, however the German boss dismissed any issues. He said: “Joe Gomez is good.
Mohamed Salah made his Liverpool return after four matches following a muscle injury, having made a brief cameo against Brentford on February 17.
Salah was not involved in the win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday but is edging closer to a return. Klopp opted to start the Egyptian on the bench in Prague but in the final 15 minutes, he was introduced.
Alisson Becker faces a continued absence from the Liverpool matchday squad through injury.

Ryan Gravenberch

The midfielder left the game on a stretcher, but Klopp confirmed days after the game that the injury was not as bad as first feared. However, no timeframe has been given on when Liverpool expected Gravenberch to return to the matchday squad.
Expected return date: Unknown
Thiago Alcantara
Thiago Alcantara is recovering from a hamstring injury he sustained during a cameo against Arsenal on February 4.
The Spaniard had been sidelined for nine months through injury before the game against Arsenal. No timeframe has been given for when Liverpool expects Thiago to be back available, with the midfielder’s contract set to expire in the summer.
Expected return date: Unknown
Joel Matip
Joel Matip suffered an ACL injury in the 4-3 win over Fulham on December 3 and is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
Matip’s contract is also due to run out this summer, as speculation remains about the centre-back’s future. It remains to be seen if Matip will ever make another appearance for Liverpool.
