Mikel Arteta is not giving up on Arsenal’s Premier League title dream after his side put Wolverhampton Wanderers to the sword

Mikel Arteta has vowed to fight until the end after kick-starting Arsenal’s title bid with a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Manchester City were distracted by FA Cup action this weekend, with Liverpool not facing Fulham until later today. Barring a 10-goal swing at Craven Cottage, the Gunners can expect to be top of the Premier League when they take on Chelsea in midweek.

“I’m really happy,” he told Sky Sports. “Obviously, the game tests you. If you want to be at the top and fight for big things, you have to show that resilience.

“The best way to talk is on the pitch. We totally deserved to win. We had to make ourselves big and have an impact on the team – this is what we discussed.

“At the moment we are fighting for the league again for two consecutive seasons. We had our first experience in the Champions League for those boys. We have come quite far. Not as far as we want, that’s for sure. We still want to improve.”
