Chelsea players were handed a damning assessment of their 5-0 drubbing by Arsenal by a young fan who held a sign saying they didn’t want their shirts.
The Blues suffered their heaviest-ever defeat to the Gunners on Tuesday (April 23) as they left the Emirates humiliated in an embarrassing performance that leaves them ninth in the Premier League table.
Leandro Trossard’s opener, followed by braces from ex-Chelsea star Kai Havertz and defender Ben White contributed to Arsenal’s dominant showing over Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Chelsea’s diabolical second-half performance in particular left thousands of their fans who made the short trip to north London wholly disappointed, including one young supporter who held up a sign with pictures of Chelsea kit, which read: “I don’t want your shirt!! I want you to want to fight for ours. UTC (Up the Chelsea)”.
The young fan’s heartbreaking request was shared across social media and was even the topic for a question posed to Blues captain Captain Gallagher during his post-match press conference as the England international insisted the team is working hard despite their poor results.

Gallagher told TNT Sports: “Well we are definitely putting the effort in. I know how much it means to all the boys, I know it’s been said many times, it’s a very young squad with not much experience as a team in the Premier League.
“We have had a lots of ups and downs and we are still improving and working together as a team to get to the next level. Today was one of those days that we were nowhere near it.
“We need to dust ourselves off and also look at the performance and where we can improve and all the mistakes where we can put it right and move onto the next one.”
