Why Luis Suárez called Darwin Núñez an ‘idiot’
Darwin Núñez has been in the news a lot this week, with speculation surrounding him and a possible transfer move to Barcelona this summer. While Klopp appeared to rule that out during his Friday press conference, the rumors are not going to end there.

Speaking to ESPN Uruguay, Núñez has outlined his friendship with former Liverpool and Barcelona striker Luis Suárez, who is now playing for Inter Miami in MLS. “Off the field, we have a very good bond,” he said of his fellow countryman.

“I always follow him because Luis is an idol for me, and he also advises me a lot. For example, the time the headbutt thing happened (against Crystal Palace), Luis was the first to write to me. ‘You idiot, don’t do that, another idiot is talking to you and he’s done it a thousand times,’ he told me. With Luis, we created a very nice bond.”
