Liverpool star undergoes scan ahead of Bayer Leverkusen – eight players could miss clash.

 

Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate has alleviated fears about his injury, confirming that the issue is not serious. The French international was forced off at half-time during the Reds’ 2-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, sparking concerns among fans.

Konate’s injury occurred when he collided with teammate Virgil van Dijk, leaving him in visible pain as he exited the field. The 23-year-old was replaced by Joe Gomez for the second half, and Liverpool went on to secure a comeback win courtesy of goals from Cody Gakpo and Mo Salah.

 

In a relief to Liverpool supporters, Konate took to social media to provide an update on his condition. “Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that my injury isn’t serious,” Konate wrote. “I’m feeling good and will be back on the pitch soon.”
