Shannon Sharpe Unloads on Dallas Cowboys After CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs’ Night Out

Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe has blasted the Dallas Cowboys, specifically wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and cornerback Trevon Diggs, for their behavior after the team’s humiliating 34-10 loss to the Houston Texans on Monday night. Sharpe’s criticism came after Lamb and Diggs were spotted enjoying themselves at a club, sparking concerns about the team’s leadership and commitment.

Sharpe, speaking on the “Nightcap” podcast, sent a message to Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, stating, “That’s why your Cowboys suck — because two of their best players, this is what they’re doing. That shows you how much the game of football means to them.” Sharpe’s comments suggest that Lamb and Diggs’ actions demonstrate a lack of dedication to the team and its fans.

The Cowboys are struggling this season, with a 3-7 record, and have lost five straight games. With injured starting quarterback Dak Prescott out for the season and head coach Mike McCarthy in the final year of his contract, some have questioned whether the team’s players are still committed to winning.

Sharpe’s criticism extends beyond Lamb and Diggs, as he believes the team lacks leadership from top to bottom. “They got no leaders,” Sharpe said. “That is the problem that the Cowboys have. They’re devoid of leadership from top to bottom.”

The Cowboys face a tough test on Sunday, traveling to play the 7-4 Washington Commanders. As of Friday afternoon, the Cowboys were listed as 10.5-point underdogs. It remains to be seen how the team will respond to Sharpe’s criticism and their current struggles on the field.
