Liverpool face two huge games this week as the fixtures start to pile up thick and fast.

Arne Slot’s side welcome Real Madrid and Manchester City to Anfield in the Champions League and Premier League respectively, looking to continue what has been an excellent start to the season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Trent Alexander-Arnold was forced off during the win over Aston Villa before the international break with a hamstring injury and subsequently pulled out of the England squad.

He then sat out the win over Saints, though Slot did suggest there was hope the right-back could return soon.

Alisson is back in training with Liverpool after a recent hamstring injury but was not risked against Saints.

With deputy Caoimhin Kelleher in good form, it would seem unlikely the Brazilian will be rushed back into action.

Diogo Jota suffered a chest injury during the win over Chelsea last month and was initially expected back after the international break.
