Myles Garrett Earns AP First Team All-Pro Honors After Dominant 2024 Season

 

 

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett added to his growing list of accolades on Friday, earning AP First Team All-Pro honors for his outstanding performance during the 2024 NFL season.

Garrett, who was drafted by the Browns with the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, finished the 2024 season with a league-high 22 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, and 52 quarterback pressures. His impressive statistics earned him a spot on the AP’s First Team All-Pro roster, marking the fourth time in his career that he has received the honor.

Garrett’s dominant performance in 2024 was a key factor in the Browns’ defensive success. The team finished the season ranked sixth in the NFL in total defense, allowing just 304.4 yards per game. Garrett’s ability to disrupt opposing offenses and create turnovers was a major reason for the team’s improvement on defense.

 

“Myles is a game-changer,” said Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski. “He’s a dominant force on the defensive line, and his ability to create pressure and disrupt opposing offenses is unmatched. We’re thrilled to see him receive this well-deserved recognition.”

Garrett’s AP First Team All-Pro selection is just the latest in a long list of accolades he has received during his career. He has been named to four Pro Bowls, earned two First Team All-Pro selections, and was named the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2021.

Despite the individual recognition, Garrett remains focused on helping the Browns achieve their goal of winning a Super Bowl championship.
