The latest rumor making the rounds is that the Browns might be interested in making a play for the number 1 pick in the draft. The Carolina Panthers currently hold the top pick, and it’s no secret that they’re looking to rebuild their roster.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns have been in talks with the Panthers about a potential trade. The report suggests that the Browns are willing to give up a package of picks, including their own first-round pick (No. 12 overall), to move up to the top spot.

While this rumor is certainly intriguing, it’s worth noting that the Browns have not confirmed any trade talks with the Panthers. In fact, Browns general manager Andrew Berry has been quiet on the subject, only saying that the team is “exploring all options” to improve their roster.

Stroud are both considered to be among the top quarterback prospects, and either one would be a great addition to the Browns’ roster.
