New Orleans, LA – The New Orleans Saints are gearing up for the 2025 NFL Draft, and they’re targeting two players who could immediately revamp their team: Tyler Warren and James Pearce Jr.
Warren, a dominant defensive tackle from Clemson, has been rising up draft boards with his impressive combine performance. The 6’5″, 310-pound tackle has drawn comparisons to former Saints defensive tackle, Sheldon Rankins.
Pearce Jr., a speedy wide receiver from Tennessee, has been generating buzz with his blazing 4.28 40-yard dash time at the combine. The 5’11”, 190-pound receiver has been compared to former Saints wideout, Brandin Cooks.
Both Warren and Pearce Jr. would fill significant needs for the Saints. The team’s defensive line has been depleted by injuries and free agency, while the wide receiver corps is in need of a deep threat.
“Tyler Warren would be an immediate impact player for us,” said Saints head coach, Dennis Allen. “He’s got the size, strength, and athleticism to dominate on the defensive line. We’re excited about the possibility of adding him to our roster.”
“James Pearce Jr. is a game-changer,” added Saints general manager, Mickey Loomis. “He’s got elite speed and agility, and he’s shown the ability to make big plays down the field. We think he’d be a great addition to our wide receiver corps.”
The Saints have the 12th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and they’re expected to use it on one of these two players. If they can land both Warren and Pearce Jr., it would be a major coup for the team.
“Getting both Tyler Warren and James Pearce Jr. would be a dream scenario for us,” said Allen. “It would give us the defensive line help we need, while also adding a dynamic playmaker to our offense. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it happens.”
