As someone who played for the #Browns, loved living in Cleveland, and learned everything I know about the game from Bill (Belichick) and Nick (Saban) during my time there,” Riddick’s post on X began. “I hope Myles Garrett digs in and finds a way to get out of there. It’s sad to see what has been happening with that place.”

Riddick deleted the tweet on Friday afternoon.

He explained the deletion with another post, writing, “I deleted it out of respect for being a #Browns alum and having a convo with some that I respect about the situation. I know how it used to be there. Hopefully it can be that way again.”

Riddick played for the Browns in his second, third and fourth seasons in the NFL. In 47 games, he totaled 18 tackles and a safety.

After his playing career, Riddick worked his way up the ranks and was eventually the director of player personnel in both the Washington and Philadelphia organizations.

The Browns are coming off a dumpster fire season that included a 3-14 record despite having the most expensive roster in the NFL. Superstar Myles Garrett requested a trade this offseason, and Cleveland thus far has said they won’t be moving him.

Riddick may have deleted his post on X, but he also had some serious truth to it.
