The New Orleans Saints are keeping one of their top tight ends and free agent targets, Juwan Johnson.
The Saints re-signed Johnson to a 3-year deal worth over $30 million Tuesday, according to multiple national reports.
hnson is coming off a career-best year in New Orleans. The former undrafted free agent was the black and gold’s receiving yards leader with 548 total receiving yards. In 2024, Johnson hauled in 50 receptions for 548 yards and three touchdowns.
Johnson was considered one of the top tight-end free agents this offseason.
Re-signing Johnson is a huge boost to the Saints’ tight end room, which was a top need entering the 2025 season with both Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau suffering injuries that required surgery in 2024.
Johnson is the second Saints free agent to re-sign with the team. New Orleans re-signed defensive end Chase Young on Monday, according to reports. Two Saints free agents have signed elsewhere so far. Cornerback Paulson Adebo signed with the Giants and safety Will Harris signed with the Commanders, according to national reports.
