Knoxville, Tennessee, is buzzing with excitement as the city prepares to host March Madness action for the first time since 2010. The Tennessee Volunteers and Lady Vols basketball teams are gearing up for the NCAA Tournament, and the city is ready to showcase its hospitality and passion for basketball.

 

The University of Tennessee’s Thompson-Boling Arena will play host to first- and second-round games of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament on March 15 and 17. The arena, which has a seating capacity of over 21,000, is expected to be electric as fans from across the country descend upon Knoxville to cheer on their favorite teams.

The Tennessee Volunteers, led by head coach Rick Barnes, are looking to make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament after a strong regular season. The Vols have been one of the top teams in the Southeastern Conference, with a roster loaded with talented players like Santiago Vescovi, Julian Phillips, and Olivier Nkamhoua.

 

“We’re excited to have the opportunity to play in front of our home crowd in the NCAA Tournament,” said Barnes. “Our fans have been incredible all season, and we know they’ll bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the games.”

The Tennessee Lady Vols, led by head coach Kellie Harper, are also gearing up for the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Vols have had a strong season, with a roster featuring talented players like Rickea Jackson, Jordan Walker, and Tamari Key.
