The New Orleans Saints offense will look for some notable additions during the 2025 NFL Draft. You can expect that Kellen Moore will want to boost his roster on that side of the football with an influx of young talent.
One of their potential round one targets made some headlines to begin the week. It was for the right reason, too. Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan worked out at the team’s Pro Day.

The projected first-round pick did not work out at the NFL Scotunig Combine earlier this month. Instead, he planned to show his athleticism at Arizona’s Pro Day. He did precisely that, according to reports. McMillan reportedly ran a 4.48 40-yard dash.

That number, technically timed by hand, is one that should not diminish McMillan’s draft stock. Even if it is a bit lower than the actual time, it’s still a good showing for the massive passing game target.
At his size, that sort of time (in the high 4.4s to mid 4.5s range) makes total sense and matches his speed that’s on film for teams during his time in college.
Cameron Jordan, recently locked back in on a new contract with the Saints for 2025, rooted for the Saints to draft McMillan in next month’s NFL Draft on social media after the news broke. He’s a fan of the wideout.
Saints’ need at wide receiver remains
After losing Marquez Valdes-Scantling to free agency last week, the Saints desperately need another big-body receiving option. They brought back Juwan Johnson at tight end on a three-year deal, but the WR room still lacks depth and an option that’s larger in stature.
McMillan makes a ton of sense for them with the ninth overall pick. Adding him to a dynamic duo of Rashid Shaheed and Chris Olave would be exciting for Derek Carr at quarterback next season.
