Kentucky basketball is targeting Nevada transfer Nick Davidson

The 2024-25 Kentucky Wildcats were almost completely assembled from the transfer portal when Mark Pope was hired this past offseason. He did a great job, and has the Cats as a number three seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Now, it’s time to start looking ahead to next year, and players who can help the program going forward.

The transfer portal is set to open soon, and Pope and his staff have begun to contact some of the names already set to change schools. One such player is Nick Davidson of Nevada.

Davidson is a 6’8″, 210 lb forward who has started 67 games for Nevada over the past two years. Last season, he averaged 15.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He was also an effective three point shooter at 37%.

A number of teams are set to compete for Davidson’s services once the portal opens, Kentucky among them. He would be a good fit in Pope’s offense, and a solid addition to the frontcourt. Fans should keep an eye on this one.
