David Robinson, famously known as “The Admiral,” had an illustrious college career at the United States Naval Academy from 1983-87. Initially, he had no aspirations for an NBA career, but as he grew to 7-foot-1 and dominated college basketball, winning both the Wooden and Naismith Awards in his senior year, he became one of the sport’s elite prospects. His impact was so profound that in 1987, he was selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs.

During his playing career, Justin was part of a Duke team that reached the Elite Eight twice. One of his most notable performances came in his final college game, where he recorded 13 points, six rebounds, four blocks, and three assists in a win over archrival North Carolina.

 

After graduation, Justin pursued professional basketball overseas, playing in the Montenegrin League and the ABA League before briefly joining the San Antonio Spurs’ 2021 Summer League roster. In 2023, he returned to Duke, joining Jon Scheyer’s staff as the Director of Player Development.
