“I wasn’t expecting this to be a goodbye post,” wrote Rowe on Instagram. “I wanted nothing more than to play my senior year in a Kentucky uniform, but I know that God has bigger and better plans for me. Sometimes “no” is God’s way of preventing us from greater heartbreak.”

Saniah Tyler and Rowe were the two holdovers from former head coach Kyra Elzy’s tenure to current head coach Kenny Brooks’ first season at Kentucky. Tyler also will not be back with the Cats next season after announcing her decision to transfer shortly after the season ended.

Rowe, who had back to back ACL injuries threaten her chances at a career with Kentucky, thanked UK fans in her post as well.
