It was a season to remember for the Duke Blue Devils in 2024-25.
Jon Scheyer and his Blue Devils finished with a 35-4 record, boasting ACC regular season and conference titles, and also a trip to the NCAA Tournament Final Four.
Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils had talent across the board, with Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach and Tyrese Proctor leading the way.
The 2025-26 season will look different for the Blue Devils, but they will remain a staple at the top of college basketball.
There is no doubt that Scheyer is a player’s coach. Many times throughout the season, both Flagg and Knueppel have discussed their willingness to play hard for their coach. Tyrese Proctor was another, as he had earlier in the day made his intention of heading to the NBA Draft known.
Tyrese Proctor’s mom, Melissa Proctor, sent a message out on Friday night, talking about what the Duke coach meant to her son.
“So thankful for you Jon,” she posted with two blue heart emojis.
Last season, Proctor averaged 12.4 points per game on 45.2% from the field. In the Final Four loss to Houston, Proctor had seven points in 37 minutes.
Despite losing several key players, the Blue Devils remain a strong contender to reach the NCAA Tournament Final Four again in 2025-26.
Duke has made 18 Final Four appearances in school history and has won five national championships, with the most recent coming in 2015.

Cameron and Cayden Boozer headline a talented freshman class set to join the Blue Devils in the fall.
However, it is unlikely that any of them will be able to fully replace the impact Flagg had on the team. He averaged 19.2 points per game, including 27 in the loss to Houston
