Alabama Receives Major Recruitment Update on 5-Star
For the past couple decades, the Alabama Crimson Tide has been a powerhouse of college football, and a team that everyone has been striving to beat.
Under head coach Nick Saban, they were nearly unstoppable posting a record of 2096-29 in his 17 year career with the Tide.
Now, under the leadership of their new head coach Kalen DeBoer, they aim to replicate that dominance over all of college football, and look to build on a decent first year.
DeBoer is doing that through his recruiting expertise, and is closing in on the top defensive back in the country.
Five-star defensive back in the 2026 recruiting class Brandon Arrington has named his top five schools, and Alabama is one of them.
The other schools joining Alabama are the Penn State Nittany Lions, Texas A&M Aggies, USC Trojans, and Oregon Ducks.
Five elite college football programs will be fighting for the commitment of one of the best prospects in the country.
Arrington has announced that he will be making his commitment on July 5, as he looks forward to making future career decision.
He would be the second five-star cornerback that the Tide have committed in the 2026 class, joining Jorden Edmonds, the No. 2 defensive back in the country.
If DeBoer and company can secure Arrington, the potential for their defensive back pairing of those two will be an incredible group that has the chance to take over college football.
Alabama’s reign over the college football world may have taken a couple years off since their championship in 2020, but could be back very soon.
