Tennessee Basketball has struck gold in the transfer portal again. The Volunteers have officially secured a commitment from veteran combo guard Amaree Abram, bringing proven firepower, playmaking, and poise to a backcourt looking to make a serious push in the 2025–26 season.

Abram, a 6-foot-4 guard known for his ability to score at all three levels and defend with intensity, brings SEC and Power Five experience with him—having previously suited up for both Ole Miss and Georgia Tech. The commitment marks a strategic and impactful move by Tennessee Head Coach Rick Barnes, who is reloading his roster after a deep NCAA Tournament run.

Abram averaged 13.6 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game last season with the Yellow Jackets, while shooting a solid 37% from three-point range. His ability to function as both a primary ball-handler and off-ball weapon makes him an ideal fit in Barnes’ system, which emphasizes disciplined offense, defensive toughness, and smart decision-making.
