The Regions Tradition is one of the biggest tournaments of the year for the PGA Tour Champions, comprising of the best senior golfers in the world.
But before the real competition begins, some of the biggest names from around the state will take the course at Greystone for the Celebrity Pro-Am. It’ll all get started bright + early on Wednesday, May 14.
This year’s full lineup + schedule includes:
7:10AM – UAB football coach Trent Dilfer, Kenny Perry
7:50AM – Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats, Steve Stricker
8AM – Former Auburn football + baseball player Bo Jackson, Darren Clarke
8:10AM – Auburn football coach Hugh Freeze, David Toms
8:20AM – Georgia football coach Kirby Smart, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey, Davis Love III
8:30AM – Former Alabama quarterbacks AJ McCarron + Greg McElroy, musician Taylor Hicks, Tom Lehman
8:40AM – Alabama football coach Kalen DeBoer, Ernie Els
8:50AM – Former Alabama football coach Nick Saban, former Auburn basketball player Charles Barkley, Stewart Cink
9AM – Musician Riley Green, former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville, musician Jamey Johnson, John Daly
12:40PM – Daryl Johnston, Corey Pavin
Lulu Gribbin is also listed on the tournament’s website as participating in the event.
The event officially runs Wednesday through Sunday with the tournament starting Thursday morning.
Single-day tickets can still be purchased on the Regions Tradition website. Parking is free at designated lots near the golf course with shuttles running to + from the lots throughout the day.
This is the ninth year the tournament will be held at the Greystone Founders Course and 14th year it has been held in Birmingham.
Doug Barron is the defending champion but fan-favorite Steve Stricker will be back again after winning three of the last five tournaments at Greystone. Other big names expected to compete this week include:
