Being able to run the show, being able to play the 2, play the 3. He’s comfortable playing [the 3], but we want to push, and I think he’s going to respond in a positive way. It’s all right to fail. It’s all right to turn the ball over. We’ve talked about that.”
Kidd’s approach will surely test Flagg’s abilities and push him to new heights. With the right guidance and support, Flagg has the potential to become a superstar in the making. The Mavericks’ front office has also made some savvy moves to complement Flagg’s arrival. Washington praised the team’s decision to re-sign Irving and Daniel Gafford, saying they “really mean a lot to our team.”
