Kentucky put on a show in their summer scrimmage, cruising to a win over La Familia in front of a packed crowd.
The Wildcats played with energy. Shots fell early. The defense stayed active. Freshman guards attacked the rim and controlled the pace.
Trevin Wallace stole the spotlight with a thunderous dunk that lit up Rupp Arena. Reed Sheppard ran the offense with confidence. His vision and poise stood out. The frontcourt rotated well and cleaned the glass.
La Familia brought effort but couldn’t match Kentucky’s depth. Their offense stalled under pressure. Kentucky’s bench outscored them in the second half.
Fans roared after every big play. Social media buzzed. Former players in the building showed love. Coach Mark Pope praised the tempo and defensive effort in his post-game remarks.
This scrimmage gave a first look at a team with speed, shooting, and hunger. The season can’t come soon enough.
