Nolan Smith just landed his first head coaching job.
Tennessee State made it official. The former Duke star is now leading the Tigers.
Smith spent the last two years as an assistant at Louisville. Before that, he was part of Jon Scheyer’s staff at Duke. Now he gets his own program.
“This is the moment I’ve prepared for,” Smith said. “I’m ready to lead, build, and win.”
He brings energy, pedigree, and championship DNA. He won a national title with Duke in 2010. He’s coached under legends. He knows what winning looks like.
Tennessee State believes in him. The program wants a new identity. Smith is the answer.
The Tigers haven’t made the NCAA Tournament since 1994. That drought could end soon.
Smith plans to recruit hard. Coach harder. And bring national attention back to Nashville.
The job starts now.
