Jon Scheyer has been able to land the No. 1 recruiting class for the past two years, bringing in stars such as Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel last season, as well as Cam and Cayden Boozer alongside Nikolas Khamenia for the upcoming year. If the Duke Blue Devils head coach wants to make it three in a row, he will likely focus on these six players in the 2026 recruiting class.
Brandon McCoy
The top overall recruit in the 2026 class per Rivals, McCoy is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard out of St. John Bosco in Bellflower, Calif. Duke is one of the favorites to land McCoy, but will have to continue to fight off USC among others for the sharp shooter. As McCoy said, “nobody is over anybody right now.”
Jordan Smith Jr.
Duke is on the shortlist for the 6-foot-3 shooting guard, who, alongside McCoy, could set up one of the most fearsome backcourts in the nation if they both decide to come to Durham. Scheyer is battling with Arkansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Syracuse and Indiana for the Fairfax, Va., native. Playing in the EYBL this summer, Smith put up 19.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
Christian Collins
A teammate of McCoy at St. John Bosco, Collins is a 6-foot-8 small forward who has all the skills to become a superstar.
Cameron Williams
The top power forward in the 2026 class, according to Rivals, Duke is battling local schools Arizona, USC, and Texas for the 6-foot-11 product. Williams has scheduled an official visit to Duke on Oct. 3.
Miikka Muurinen
Much like Williams, Muurinen hails from the state of Arizona and is a coveted power forward, standing 6-foot-10.
Babatunde Oladuton
One of the top recruits in the 2027 class, Oladuton is following in the path of Flagg, graduating a year early and reclassifying to the 2026 class.
