Tickets Still Available for High-Profile December 6 Matchup: Michigan State vs. Duke

The stage is set for one of this early season’s most anticipated college basketball showdowns. On Saturday, December 6, 2025, the Michigan State Spartans (2-0) will host the Duke Blue Devils (2-0) at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing, Michigan. Tipoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on FOX.

For fans looking to attend, yes — tickets are still available on the resale market. According to resale site listings, seats are being offered across a wide range of prices and sections. For example, one listing shows individual tickets starting in the US$200–300 range for some sections. Other listings show higher-end seating pushing into the US$400–500+ zone, depending on section and row. As always with secondary market tickets, expect dynamic pricing and availability to fluctuate.

The matchup itself carries considerable intrigue. Michigan State, under veteran coach Tom Izzo, will be looking to defend its home court as it welcomes Duke, a historically elite program. According to Michigan State Athletics, this game marks the 20th meeting between the two schools—and is the first time they’ve clashed since Duke’s 74-65 victory at the Champions Classic in 2023. It will also be just the third time the two programs have met at the Breslin.

On the player front, Michigan State returns several key contributors: guard Jaden Akins averaged 12.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists last season, knocking down an average of 1.6 three-pointers per game. Forward Jaxon Kohler pulled down 7.5 rebounds per contest, and guard Jeremy Fears Jr. dished out 5.4 assists while averaging 1.1 steals per game. Kohler also contributed 0.8 blocks per outing.

Duke, meanwhile, brings in its own star power and depth. Notables include forward Cooper Flagg, who led his squad with 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 48.1 % from the floor and 38.5 % from three. He also averaged 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest. Guard Kon Knueppel averaged 14.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists while hitting 40.6 % from beyond the arc and making 2.2 three-pointers per game. Guard Tyrese Proctor contributed 12.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per outing, while big man Khaman Maluach chipped in 8.6 points and 6.6 rebounds. Guard Sion James added 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

With those kinds of individual numbers and national program prestige on both sides, this game is shaping up to be more than just an early-season test. It carries implications for national perception, non-conference strength of schedule and momentum heading into conference play.

For fans planning to attend, here are some tips:

Buy sooner rather than later. While tickets are still available, prices may continue rising as the date approaches—especially for better seats.

Check resale platforms carefully. Confirm authenticity and the delivery method. Some listings list very high prices, so budgeting is key.

Consider seating location vs. cost. There are options starting in the low hundreds of dollars, but prime sections (closer to the court, lower rows) command a premium.

Plan travel and accommodations. If you’re traveling to East Lansing, parking, lodging and transit should be factored in ahead of time.

Arrive early. Big games often involve heightened security, fan activities and full house energy—getting to your seat early helps you soak in the atmosphere.
