Scott Brown discussed Tierney’s skills on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, focusing on the player’s speed. Brown, of course, played alongside Tierney at Celtic and says he is one of the fastest footballers he has ever shared the field with.
Brown shared his assessment of the quarterback. “Also, Kieran is probably one of the fastest players I’ve ever played with. I’ve played a lot of fast players, but he’s got his body, his strength and his low center of gravity. In this respect, it is similar to McGinn. He’s also a great defender, so when he puts his body on the line, he gets hurt,” Brown said. High praise from someone like Brown. The midfielder has played alongside some very fast players throughout his career, from Virgil van Dijk to James Forrest, the Scot has played alongside some very fast footballers. Tierney has been plagued by injuries but still provides a great physical presence with an excellent combination of speed and stamina. The defender may no longer be playing for Arsenal, but let’s not forget what a talented footballer he is and still has a solid Premier League career ahead of him. Let’s hope Tierney can rediscover his best form and live up to the potential he showed at Celtic a few years ago.
Kieran Tierney is currently on loan at Real Sociedad but remains an Arsenal player.The Scot remains on the Gunners’ books and while he may not be popular at the moment, the defender is still a very talented player. Mikel Arteta can’t do much for Tierney at the moment, but he was once considered one of Arsenal’s best and most important players.
