‘His decision-making was wrong’: Experts say Liverpool’s £36m player could make many mistakes

Arsenal play Liverpool on Saturday and the Gunners will need to find a way to dismantle the Reds ahead of that game. Arsenal haven’t been at their best in attack this season and next weekend will face the impossible task of breaking down a backline that includes Virgil van Dijk. However, speaking on the Handbrake Off podcast, Adrian Clarke highlighted one player he believes Arsenal could use: Ibrahima Konate.
According to Clarke, Konate can be prone to the odd error because his decision-making is flawed. Although he is quick, he is said to be a player who can beat Gabriel Jesus.

Cornet was wrong.Clarke shared his assessment of the £36m player.”We know Konate is quick, but some of his decisions are wrong. He gives the ball to Gabriel Jesus, takes care of the ball and creates a platform to pass to Odegaard, Havertz and other players. He has a role to play, a wide player. He can unlock konate, Trent or Van Dijk by pulling the runners, leaving a lot of space in the rotation and allowing Jesus, Saka and Martinelli to have fun,” Clarke said.

Needs improvement Konate looked like Van Dijk’s successor when he first arrived at Liverpool, but he hasn’t been hot at all in recent weeks. The Frenchman was reckless and took unnecessary risks with the ball. If you want to help Liverpool win the league, you have to stop them. Konate has now become a long-term fixture for the team following Joel Matip’s injury, and although he has a high football IQ, he will need to prove he can handle these big games and keep the striker like him calm Jesus.Konate can somehow make a difference this weekend.
