Michael Malone has landed another player out of the portal at North Carolina.
Utah guard Terrence Brown Jr. announced on social media on Tuesday, April 21 that he has transferred to the Tar Heels. On3’s Joe Tipton first reported Brown’s transfer to UNC. He joins Virginia Tech guard Neoklis Avdalas as part of North Carolina’s transfer portal class.
“I’m home. Go heels,” Brown said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
As noted by On3, Brown also took a visit to Kansas and considered Kentucky during the recruiting cycle. In Brown, Malone lands a highly touted prospect in the transfer portal and a go-to scoring guard for the start of his rebuild in Chapel Hill. He was ranked by USA TODAY Sports’ Austin Curtright as the No. 9 best available player in the transfer portal on Monday, and was USA TODAY Sports’ overall No. 20 player in the transfer portal.
